The Ab Circle Pro Experiment

It wasn’t the man I was picking up the Ab Circle Pro from who was in denial….

I watched the infomercials over and over and then I had the realization – GUMTREE!!!

Surely I could purchase the exercise equipment of my dreams for a fraction of the price on GUMTREE!

Yes I could – I found the Ab Circle Pro agreed a price and I trotted off to pick it up.

Sat naving my way through the streets I could hardly contain my excitement – I was going to have the abs of a gym bunny – just in time for summer on the Gold Coast!

Got there jumped out and even opened the boot so I was totally ready for this life changing piece of exercise equipment. There where quite a few on Gumtree I admit but this was my most local one.

I was nervous – I sheepishly walked up to the front door feeling like well an idiot really – this wasn’t going to change my life but I was game to give it a go.

I reached for the doorbell and the nice man was already up and eager to sell.

I found I couldn’t look him in the eye as I said –

‘Did you use it much then?’
a nice man who had the tummy not related to the effects of an Ab Circle Pro.

‘No’ he said with a slight chuckle and a

it just gathered dust really’.

He didn’t know that on the way to pick up the Ab Circle Pro that I so desperately wanted after hrs of siting on my fat bum watching the infomercials that I didn’t have the right change.

Without even thinking I drove into the Maccers drive through and bought a Big Mac and Cheese meal so that I would have the right change to purchase my new slightly dusty Ab Circle Pro.

The exchange was done and I drove round the corner to finish my Big Mac.

You see the problem here don’t you?

Member of Weightwatchers since March 2012 – the year is almost over and I haven’t hit my goal. I was mildly encouraged when the lady who takes the sessions told me that I only had 5 kilos to go to get into my ideal weight range.

Well she may as well have told me I was there – I went straight out and bought a KFC.

Ab Circle Pro Experiment

Hi my name is Ashleigh and I am addicted to junk food – burgers, chewy sweets, fizzy drinks, ham and cheese toasties, cream buns, chocolate, wine, beer, crisps, but don’t worry its not all bad I also love salads, dressing, fish, fish and chips, vegetables, vegetarian pizzas, lasagna, pasta, Panini, celebratory chefs food, street market food, Asian food, world cuisines and  of course lets not forget the unhealthy addiction to great cheese!

I am not a food snob I love all food, I am not enormous but I intermittently run marathons to give the effect that I am healthier than I think I am. This works really well in my own head as I can continue to eat my chewy sweets for that energy boost and still stay slim after a 15 km run – of course its fine! The diet of a tuned athlete.

So this is it my letter of acceptance that I am kidding myself I need help and I need it in the form of taking my diet more seriously I am 35 years old and I have the diet of a 15 year old – it’s time to move on.

I am sure the Ab Circle Pro will get me those abs I am after its just the food part I am worried about. And no I don’t agree that getting someone to drop your meals off at your door is a good thing either – that’s also denial.

I had a son 11 months ago so I have a goal for his birthday to shift that next 5 kilos – I also don’t think I can face getting pregnant again and having to pile it all on again so the more I loose now the better the success after my 2nd – right? I want to set a good example for my son and ensure that he doesn’t grow up with these food demons.

Lets face it I talk a good game but the scales don’t lie – Ab Cirlce Pro experiment to be continued...
